1.9: all announcements have admin as sender??

Postby jand » Fri Aug 31, 2012 4:59 pm

If you don't have a NO-REPLY email address set in the admin settings, chamilo 1.9 will use the admin's email address as sender!

I want the senders email-address back, like it was with 1.8
Students cannot use 'reply' in their email now.

Is there a setting where I can change the notification/announcements email sender back the the email address of the sender instead of NOREPLY?

I'm having the same problem, being the platform admin for a large site I received numerous replies from students already on the platform admin e-mail. Strange thing is that I do have a no-reply address set.

There doesn't seem to be a setting to change this to the coursemanager's e-mail, so I guess this is a bug in 1.9?

jmontoya, do you mean that if this setting has a value, e-mails are sent from the coursemanager's address? I have a no-reply address set, but all e-mails from any course are sent with the platform admin's name and e-mail.

Hi Denis,
I guess you put the "noreply_email_address" instead of the empty field?

Does it still sends using the admin email?

As I occured this 'before filling thenoreply field', I gave another email where I'm sure I'll receive the answer, BUT not containing my email adderss, so I won't be spammed!

Hello,

I'm facing this problem too. My courseleaders send an announcement and my email address (system administrator) is used as sender instead of the courseleader's email address.

My "noreplyemailaddress" was empty, so as you suggested I filled in something, but still the same.

Is there any solution for this please?

thanx,

Thierry.

In your environment, I remember seeing somewhere in administration part that you can use the "coach" email address rather than the admin one.

You may find this. It's worth doing a test :)

I found a setting to do that for "surveys". But not for announcements.

Is this problem solved in 1.9.2?
