Cannot upload Hotpotatoes via a zip archive...

Postby zopa » Tue Jun 12, 2012 8:09 am

Hello everyone,
I'm having some trouble to upload hotpotatoes exercises when they are archived in a zip folder, I get a server 500 error.
Anyone had this issue? Did you solved it or have any idea on how to solve it?

Thanks

Zopa

zip each hotpotatoes separately. Make sure images and / or audio files are in the same zip file as the hotpotatoes exercise.
Then zip all the zips.
Import not as zip-archive, but as Hotpotatoes, then it works fine!

here you can find a tutorial in dutch:

Hello,
thanks for the answer, but I tried it, I zipped all the hotpot separately and then zipped all the zips, but when I try to upload it as hotpot I still get the same error...

Try it on http://c2.chamilo.org/ and let me know if you have the same problem there.
If you upload the exercises in a category, this doesn't seem to work, but the files are stored in the root of the Repository instead of in the chosen category.
The developers are reworking the upload of hotpotatoes.

The upload worked on your test server (even though I had some difficulties with the german setup ;-) gladly there was the icons) but once it was uploaded I can't see the content of the exercise when I click on it... and when I try to access it via the repository menu I get a forbiden access message...
Any idea?
thanks

I switched the platform language back to English.

I don't know what went wrong in your upload (do you use the html output of hotpotatoes?). Can you post a screen shot?

Meanwhile, I shared 3 files with you on the c2.chamilo.org platform:
- an exercise : test2.html
- 2 zip-in-zip files with exercises

You can find these shared objects in your repository, in "shared with me". Click on the icon "Copy" (= blue arrow) to copy these files to your repository. Download the zip-files so you can test the import again.

I hope this information is helpful for you!
