How could a teacher send Messages to all stud. of his course

How could a teacher send Messages to all students of his course. If there is yet no option like that, would strongly recommend to implement that function inside the courses. If there is already something like that, I would be glad to learn where to find and how to use it.

Just create an online group in the social network. Then add all students. Every message you post in this group will be visible by all students.

Alternatively, the "Announcements" tool inside the course exists just for that: sending messages to all students of your course :)

We tried both. At the end, online groups are better for us since students can actually answer a message. It is a great way to keep in touch with users if you need to answer their questions or get their feedback.

I'm not against social groups (after all, we developed them), but if you want to let users answer, forums are also a good way to do this (but I'm not sure of how you could make new forum posts be sent to all users the first time).
