Editing user fields

Hi,

When I create a new user field (selectable drop down box) no matter how i enter the possible values the drop down is always blank on the actual registration page.
I'm using version 1.8.8.4. anyone able to advise?

Hello,
Is your form part of "extra" or part of "main"?
In the meantime, how do you create your dropdown (do you have an example of field or a bit more information please)?

sorry i should have given more detail.
The created dropdown appears under 'extra' and works fine when you edit it under profile. But if you are creating a new user/new user is registering the drop down is blank.
im creating the drop down through the 'profiling'
ive added a screenshot of how its setup
