Training Home page..Error occurred

Postby alilhelp » Wed Sep 19, 2012 5:01 am

Hello,
I create a new training, and enter the course code. When I select either the training name or its training home page icon, instead of getting Welcome to this training, I get error occurred while processing this directive.
Also, the title of the course name is displaying within file directory instead of the course code, nor are updated course codes reflected. File permissions are set 755.
Please advise a resolution. Thank you

Hi,
Sorry to always repeat this, but ...
Remember you are the only one who knows your environment:
- hosted or local installation?
- Platform version?
- PHP version?
- MySQL version?
- Course created form internal authoring tool?
- Images/videos and so on imported or copied in the directory?
- Is the names (course name and code) are using specific characters (*,/....)?
- Is the trainer able to see the resource, or your error message is for all
- If the above is YES (trainer can access), what about switching to "Student view"?

This can be a good start.

Thanks in advance.

Hi. This is a new installation from the hosted servers (justhost) simple scripts. I am the only trainer, logged in as the admin attempting to create training. There are no images, the course name and code do not have special characters and I am creating a training via the Administration tab: Create a training.

- Platform version: Apache 2.2.22, Chamilo version 1.8.8.2
- PHP version: 5.2.17
- MySQL version: 5.2.17

If I may add, I was able to"successfully" create one training where as going to the training list and clicking its name the window opens Welcome to this Training, with Authoring- Interaction-Administration blocks of icons
where I can add Objectives, Description, etc.
However, the course code is lost and somehow its title name is replaced instead.

1) I have been unable to successfully create additional training, click on either its name or the training home page icon to receive the page with Authoring- Interaction-Administration blocks of icons so I can add Objective, Description, etc..
This is where I get [an error occurred while processing this directive]

2) The course code is either replaced with the title of the course name, and it is not updating when I change a course code. (ex. LEVC1, UNDC2 )

Thank you for further assistance in a resolution.

OK, 1.8.8.2 is quite old, the 1.8.8.4 is the latest stable version.

As I guess this is for testing pour pose so far, I suggest you remove all and start from scratch (even using 1.8.8.6).

If it's not for testing, you then can just unzip the 1.8.8.6 and, using FTP copy/past the extracted files.

Lucky you are, this won't corrupt anything.

I'm wondering whether 5.3, instead of 5.2 PHP/Mysql is required though. I know for sure it is mandatory for 1.9.x
