Unable to use local domain for Platform Administrator email

Postby gaberlunzie » Tue Jul 03, 2012 12:36 pm

I'm trying out Chamilo 1.8.8.4 locally on Ubuntu but cannot set my Platform Administrator email using my local domain in the Adminstration > Configuration Settings panel. Whenever I save the changed settings (using the format user@localhost), it immediately reverts to the default Chamilo fully qualified domain name that came with installation.

Can Chamilo be made to accept and access my hostname simply designated "localhost" as a domain? That domain is what my email client uses with no problem to access local email.

In main/inc/conf, you may find your needs (I would check in mail.conf.php file...

Note that the common way for email (even using a mail deamon) should be using FQDN like format.
You may therefore not be able to receive any mails after changes... I suggest you first copy and save the original file before making any changes.
