Course settings bug?

Postby RECourses » Tue Jun 19, 2012 12:49 pm

In my course settings, the different sections (such as course access, user rights, etc.) can't be opened when I click on them.
Has anyone experienced the same problem and knows how to solve this?
I tried different browsers (Firefox 13.0 & Internet Explorer), but it made no difference.
The Chamilo version I use is 1.8.8.4

Hi,

Sorry, I'm a bit confused, could you please give th ecomplete path (like Course, add course, click on... ) and maybe a screenshot in attachment so we can see what you see.

Are you sure about your permissions (0777... and so on) so the platform have full access to create, read and write ?

Are you using the platform locally on a computer, in a LAN somewhere or put in a provider area?

Thanks in advance for your feedback, I'm pretty sure someone will discover a clue to help you!

Hi,

thanks for your reply.
The interface I'm talking about is reached by starting in the My Courses section, by clicking on the course and then on Settings in the administration box.

The problem that occurs is that the different sections (such as course access, user rights, etc.) don't open when I click on them. However, very rarely, re-entering the settings page helps, so it doesn't seem like a permission issue.
Furthermore, the drop-down menus don't work either.
(A screenshot is attached.)

This also happens to other teachers who use the platform on different computers.

I am not sure about my permissions, the platform is located on an external server.

Thanks for helping!

OK, I didn't get this so far....
I'm using IE or Firefox.. Maybe this can help.
In the meantime, I do prefer going another route for settings.

Try this if you loike:
Go to Administration, then click on "Course list", and then click on the pencil icon.
You can change the laguage, access to the course and so on.

For tools visibility, you con do it by clicking on the eye nearby the icon in the course itself. I don't know how to configure each tool though, as you are right this is mainly where you do so.
This should be somewhere in maintenance menu.

Did you install the platform from scratch, or did you install it by copying parts, which could expalin the issue....
1.8.8.4 shouldn't react as it does here.... Are you sure about PHP version, and your server settings (enough disk space)...
This is all I can think of so far.
