Can´t create document

Right, I have this structure:
www.spgseguridad.com/chamilo
and I have access to the entire folder structure, also I created a folder and try to add a new document and gave me the error. Also I was able to create an svg file (image document) and save correctly, the problem is with the "Create Rich Media Page / Activity" Button calling the create_document.php file.
When I click on it I see this in the URL:
"http://www.spgseguridad.com/chamilo/main/document/create_document.php?dir=%2F&selectcat="

Now, I saw the version is not the last one, "Simple Scripts" is installing version 1.8.8.2 instead 1.8.8.4, maybe this is the solution, I will update the version and see what happend, by the way, there is any automated update or just replace the old files?

When installing a new revision, it's not recommanded to erase/replace folders and files.
Unzip 1.8.8.4 revision and upload the whole content to a separate folder near the existing one.
I know that when you click on "Install", it asks you if you want to do a new insatll or upgrade an older revision.

Note I never tried this option, so I wo't be the best help on this, sorry.

I just installed the last version and still the same problem... I´m thinking it may be somethig about the hosting... I will try the 2.0 version to see what happend.

With all you are giving as information, it looks like there is something sent by your web browser, that your provider can't understand.
It doesn't really looks related to Chamilo "bug".

Can you import document or do you get as well an error?

Hello!

I hire a different server and now is working perfectly on this server!

All the problem seems to be some server restriction or somithing else.

Thank you everybody to help and if any one know why in some servers configuration is not working (mine and Victor) please let me/us know.
In my case I have more than 30 websites hosted in the same server and have only one in other hosting is a little odd.

Hello, I have been reading all the comments posted and tried to solve this, but whenever I create a new document a screen with the following text keeps on appearing:
"Bad Request. Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand. Client sent malformed Host header"
Any other idea to overcome this, thanks.

First idea, try with a "standard" web browser, such as IE or Mozilla FireFox...
The second part is a bit tricky, as you will have to capture the frames to be able to see what "special" part your web browser is sending.

It could therefore depend on your environment.
If you are behind a company network, you may use security devices, and, each time you cross them, they add specific controls that may not be understood by the server.

One overcome for this is to "directly" connect on the Internet ( using a plain access only your computer connected to a dedicated line).

The problem now seems to have solved by itself. The point is that my server updated the PHP version from 5.2 to 5.3 these days. Now I can create documents perfectly, so I guess that the problem was there. So if anyone has this difficulty suggest they check whether their PHP version is not under 5.3.
