Chamilo 1.8.8.4 installation Error 1044

I'm getting this error when trying to install Chamillo 1.8.8.4:

"Database error: 1044
Access denied for user 'chamilo'@'10.%' to database 'chamilo_test_chamilo_connection'
Details: The database connection has failed. This is generally due to the wrong user, the wrong password or the wrong database prefix being set above. Please review these settings and try again."

I've ensured the correct user, password, prefix etc as per precious suggestions in this forum but am hitting a wall. Can anyone suggest how I might proceed?

Finally used this post and a few others and have achieved a successful install ..... now I just need to figure out how to see my dashboard.......

your username is strange "senteso_dnl", are you sure of it ?

If you get a look on the image above, you will see some importants informations like :

My username : adeschen
The complete name of the database : adeschen_188

They are similar, but this is two differents things. So, your username looks like the database's name.

Can you enlighten me a little more about it...

my host provide the database info like this:
username: senteso_dnl
database: senteso_elearning

Any user or database i create it will always have the

Code: Select all

senteso_

senteso_ sounds like the database prefix.
When you install Chamilo for the first time, in advanced part, you'll see that you can specify a prefix (Like you can see on the above picture).
This is wher you may specify it.
Then, the name of the database itself is not a bigproblem, you can say MyCourses for example.

Password : **********

Database name : elearning
Prefix database : senteso_

with my info for example ...But then is wrong!

Database Login : senteso_dnl
Database Password: *********
Use one or several DB for Chamilo: One
Optional parameters
Main Chamilo database: senteso_elearning
MySQL database prefix: chamilo_

The right way is like Alain described
