Liberada Chamilo 1.8.8 Alpha

Acabamos de liberar la versión 1.8.8 Alpha de Chamilo tras unas cuantas noche de no pegar ojo. Esta versión se puede descargar desde aquí: http://code.google.com/p/chamilo/downloads/detail?name=chamilo-1.8.8-alp...

Como su nombre indica, se trata de una versión alpha, sólo para pruebas y para echar un vistazo a lo que está por venir. ¡No user en entornos de producción! Si quieres probarla para valorar una posible actualización, úsala en una copia de tu instalación actual y haznos saber qué te parece aquí: http://support.chamilo.org/projects/chamilo-18/issues/new

En esta liberación, nos gustaría dar las gracias especialmente a Iván y a Juan Carlos Raña for su contribución voluntaria al proyecto de un modo impagable y continuo; vayan también nuestros agradecimientos para Julio Montoya por su dedicación y paciencia.

Como nota al margen, nos gustaría comentar que posiblemente implementemos jQuery File Upload en Chamilo 1.8.8 ya que supone un esfuerzo relativamente pequeño a la hora de hacer la integración... y permite la subida de múltiples archivos a la vez y la subida de archivos pulsando y arrastrando (al estilo de webdav pero sin webdav). Esto supone una increíble mejora en la usabilidad para muchas personas, por lo que creemos que el equipo de la 2.0 le hechará también un vistazo (Es tan sencillo como incluir el lib y proporcionar la ID correcta a tur <input type="file"> en el formulario, y tener las condiciones de seguridad adecuadas en tu PHP, por supuesto).
